PRIMARY LEAD GUIDE:

Michele joined the Hillside community in 2019 as the Early Stay Guide and has served in both the Upper Elementary and Primary Communities as an assistant and is currently serving as a Lead Guide in the Primary Community. She completed her training at the Montessori Teacher Education Institute in Atlanta and has earned her American Montessori Society (AMS) Early Childhood Certification as of June 2023. Michele’s love for Montessori began during her preschool years when she experienced how powerful a Montessori education could be. She attended First Presbyterian Montessori here in LaGrange for two years and truly believes this is where her artistic spirit was born. Michele was given the freedom to explore, be curious and see the world in a broader sense, where all cultures are to be respected and valued. Michele attended LaGrange College where she studied art and traveled the world. Graduating in 2009, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design, with a concentration in drawing and painting.

She married her best friend Adam in 2009, and shortly thereafter moved to Kansas City, Missouri where they had three wonderful children, Olive, Isaac and Eden. Michele homeschooled her children there while gleaning wisdom from many educational pioneers – including Maria Montessori . Michele began to incorporate many of Montessori’s philosophies into her own home.Upon moving back to LaGrange Michele was very excited to find Hillside Montessori for her children. She could not be more thrilled to be a part of this nurturing community.
