Prospective Families

At Hillside Montessori of LaGrange, we believe that the ideal learning environment includes a diverse student population. We welcome children from all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

We invite prospective families to attend one of our open houses or schedule a tour, review our tuition & fees, complete a student application, request transcripts from their current/previous school, and submit the $25 application fee.

After the visit and interview are completed, the applicant will be invited to spend a morning or full day in the classroom.

Following these steps, the Head of School will notify applicants’ families of enrollment decisions. If invited to enroll, families will receive a link to the Enrollment Contract and Partnership Agreement along with a Quickbooks invoice for the non-refundable $250 deposit.

Parent Involvement

Hillside Montessori partners with families to provide children with enriching personal growth and educational experiences. We welcome and encourage parents/guardians to participate in the many opportunities we offer for family involvement at our school. We believe that “it takes a village”, and our inclusive attitude toward our families reflects our belief that together we help mold and shape the character of our children.

Some of the many ways parents can be involved at Hillside Montessori include: providing field trip transportation, participating in family night events, assisting with PTO fundraisers and activities, reading or cooking with students, and visiting the school as a guest teacher. Parental involvement helps us to thrive. Most importantly, though, it lets your children know that their education matters to you.

Additionally, all parents/guardians are required to read and sign a partnership agreement acknowledging their role in their children’s success in school.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Hillside Montessori admits students of any race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability or religion to all its rights, privileges, programs, and activities. In addition, Hillside Montessori will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation or religion in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs and other school administered programs.
